Cataract which is defined as an opacity of the crystalline lens of the eye is the leading
cause of visual impairment and blindness in Nigeria and in the whole world in general.
The global backlog of people blind from cataract is expected to be about 25 million by
the turn of the century.

As part of our annual community health outreach as a Church and towards our 25th anniversary this year we need donations towards helping to pay for surgery of 50 cataract patients drawn among 5 local community in Apete rural community of Ibadan in Nigeria.
The cost of surgery per patient is about $125 and additional $10 donations for after surgery medications.
